Elections for staff delegations will take place on March 12. An important day for employees in companies with 15 or more staff.
Because you have a voice! You decide who will represent you towards your employer in the coming 5 years, which union will dominate in the staff delegation and how strong it will be.
You can decide how and by whom the challenges – working conditions, remuneration, organization of working time and leave, training opportunities, job protection, etc. – will be met.
The best way to ensure that the interests of employees are taken into account is the negotiation of a collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Remember that only nationally representative unions, such as the OGBL, can negotiate CBAs!
The OGBL staff delegates are supported by the strongest union in Luxembourg. They are neither isolated nor powerless. Other unions or so-called “neutral” (non-union) lists or candidates are relatively weak, often ineffective, or are not sufficiently independent from management.
Involvement and participation are the lifeblood of democracy. Those who participate and go to the polls will be heard. Those who don’t vote let others decide for them.
